It tells the story of a woman who once carried a dream, but put it aside; the violin rests in her hands not because she cannot play, but because she lost the belief that she has the right to begin again.

Blending the symbolism of fallen leaves and butterflies, the piece speaks of time, change, and unfulfilled possibilities. Oni Emmanuel Damilare is a Nigerian visual artist based in Oyo State. An HND graduate in Fine Art from the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, and an ND holder in Art & Industrial Design from Osun State Polytechnic, his artistic journey began in childhood before maturing into a dedicated professional practice. He refined his technique and vision under the mentorship of esteemed artists Mr. Abiodun Olaku and Mr. Joshua Nmesirionye at the Universal Studio of Art, National Theatre, Iganmu.
Working fluidly across acrylic, oil, charcoal, and pen, Emmanuel uses narrative-driven realism to explore themes of identity, resilience, community, and lived human experiences. Having exhibited his work at platforms such as the Mydrim Affordable Art Exhibition, he continues to bring a distinctive voice and fresh energy to the contemporary art scene.
